o the second book of The Love Series,. This book was the perfect sequel for me, it never let me down, it never turned down, it was just so great. I have to say Melissa is one of those authors that made me love a series, it just never lost the spark that I found in the first book.

My favorite thing about this book was that it wasn’t the perfect love, Maddy I have to say pissed me off with her attitude but she always did because she cared about him and wanted the best for Reid, she knows what it feels like to have one day a family and the other day they are gone, she just wanted Reid to have a great family picture no the sad and hurtful one he has.

"Love is always complicated. You can't expect to hand your soul to someone else without any bumps along the way.’’

They had A LOT of challenges here, but they those challenges made them grow as a couple. Another important thing, Reid in this book was still as beautiful and perfect as he was in the first book, I really love this character, so you will fall in love with him even more.

I think and I will always thing Melissa is one great author and has such a great potential to write and she has the ability to transport you to another world in no time, her books are the reflection of life with ups and downs, but real ups and downs, the kind of things you will see in real life not only in books. You will for sure get attached to this book and to this couple.

“I’m not foolish enough to think that things will always be easy, that we’ll always be perfect. We’ve still got mountains to climb, college to graduate, jobs to work. But as we bask in the light of the rising sun together, I know that Reid will always be my perfectly imperfect happily ever after.”

Omg I'm so pleased that Maddy and Reid got their happy ending! It wasn't an easy journey for either one of them, but they did it together!
I'm writing this review for 'Let Love In' and 'Let Love Stay'. I really enjoyed read about the characters and how they overcame heartache and learning about forgiveness.
Maddy lost both of her parents at a very young age, she was taken from everything she had ever known and moved to live with her great aunt who she had never met. Through the rain comes sunshine in the form of a young girl named Mel. They become the best of friends and even go to the same university. It is at this college that Maddy meets Reid. There was an instant connection, but Reid has experienced the loss of a loved one as well and he's a bit...difficult! I'm not gonna try the whole story but I will say that this story had me hooked from the beginning and I had to know what happened next!
Let Love Stay is Book 2 in The Love series by Melissa Collins. This is as good if not better than book 1. The characters are even more developed in this book because the characters are older and have gone through a lot. The plot starts out easy and then the twists start making it more and more intense. At the end of Book 1, Maddy took Reid’s car and was in an accident. While she is at the hospital being looked at, they find out she is pregnant. When book 2 begins, she has just told Reid.
Maddy had no idea that they should have taken other precautions for the first month she was on the pill. Now she was pregnant and Reid didn’t seem to take it very well. Although she knows he loves her, she doesn’t feel secure since he hasn’t made any effort to face his past and until he does that, she doesn’t see a future for them. Later, after she talks to Mamma, she realizes she hadn’t faced her past yet either and it doesn’t matter. By this time, he is back in Ithaca at school. She can’t call him because her phone was destroyed in the accident. She decides to stay home with Mamma while Melanie goes back to school. She gets a job at a dentist’s office and begins her life here. She hasn’t heard from Reid and hasn’t had the courage to call him. Maybe their life together is gone?
Reid left Maddy at the hospital after learning she is pregnant and that she wants him to face his past. He doesn’t want to face his past and doesn’t know what to do. While driving back to Ithaca with his best friend and roommate Jack and Jack’s girlfriend Cammie, he tells his family history to Jack and tells him Maddy wants him to face it. The last thing he had done was to call this Katelyn Donovan who was continuously calling him only to find out that his mother was dying and would like to see him. After talking to Jack, Reid realizes he does need to confront his past and after borrowing Jack’s truck, leaves to face his past. He tries to call Maddy; but can’t reach her because her phone isn’t working. He doesn’t remember her phone was destroyed in the accident. Since she doesn’t call him, he begins to believe she doesn’t want to see him again. Thus through a series of accidents, their relationship is in trouble.
What will Reid find when he talks to Katelyn Donovan again and in person? What will he find when he talks to his mother? Is his life and romance with Maddy really over? What about the pregnancy? What is Maddy thinking as she goes to work and to the doctor’s office without Reid? Why won’t he call? Where is he? Does he really not want the baby? Can she raise the child by herself?
